Bruce Clayton

Bruce Clayton has 25 years’ experience in the management of civil infrastructure including pavements, road infrastructure, bridges and marine structures. This experience extends to the preparation of asset management strategies, asset management plans, development of pavement management strategies, implementation of asset management software solutions and institutional strengthening. Bruce has direct and ongoing involvement in tactical and operational road asset management contracts in Victoria and Queensland. This enables him to form contemporary views of network needs leading to the achievement of organisational objectives. Bruce has directed network condition assessments across Australia, PNG, India, Indonesia, New Zealand, Vietnam, Thailand and Vanuatu where he has lead the introduction of new technologies and assessment practices. Bruce has worked with every State Road Authority and has a thorough understanding of contemporary asset management practices. David Paine has more than 25 years’ experience in asset management, contract management, program management and pavement technology on road networks across Australia and New Zealand for state and local governments having held roles with clients, consultants and contractors. David is currently the National Asset Manager with Fulton Hogan and is responsible for provide technical enhancement to existing maintenance contracts, the implementation of Fulton Hogan’s asset management strategy, facilitating the asset management community of practice within the Australian business and enhancing bid offering around asset management. David holds a MSc in Highway Management and Engineering, University of Birmingham, UK.
